The Epson Workforce Pro WF-3720 is an all-in-one with all the features you require. It prints 20 PPM in black and white and ten per minute in color. It has a 35-page Auto Document Feeder and a single 250-sheet paper cartridge. Additionally, it has full-duplex printing and prints on both sides. A 2.7-inch color touchscreen is used to operate everything. Epson WF-3720DWF is also a good option to choose!

Many of the one- and two-star reviews express dissatisfaction with the ink system because Epson prohibits the use of third-party ink replacements, and some users did not receive the promised number of pages from the ink carts. But because even the best printers frequently act as Office Space-style magnets for people’s ire, I usually take negative printer evaluations in stride.

  • Uses Epson Cartridges Only
  • Performance Beyond Laser
  • Fast Print Speed
  • Easy On Budget

This is a wise option if you perform more black-and-white printing than color printing. A printer called the Epson WF 3720 prints in full color and black and white. However, the black and white performance is far superior compared to the color performance. Color prints lack the sharpness and depth of their black and white counterparts. It can make borderless prints up to 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches tall.

The printer makes clean prints on a wide range of media, including photo paper, sheet rolls, plain paper, and various sizes of envelopes, thanks to its Precision Core technology. This allows for printing on cardstock, although the speed may suffer.

Added features, including an automated document feeder that can hold up to 35 pages and double-sided printing that can be set to print automatically, are also helpful in raising output rates. An average of about 20 pages per minute can be printed.

This product restores the ease of connection. Access its many printing options in several ways—wired, wireless, NFC, or WiFi Direct—in several ways. Additionally, the device reduces ink usage without compromising print quality, a significant plus.

Envelopes, labels, paper, and invites benefit from this top-rated printer. Epson Workforce printers have been excellent investments for me in the past (the 3640 and 4630). Advantages of new (inkjet) printers include eliminating print head clogging (because it is new).

Banding occurs when an inkjet printer’s nozzles are clogged or its printhead is worn out, which happens regardless of how often you print. That was the most noticeable upgrade from previous printer models.

  • Fast printing speeds.
  • Great cost-per-print.
  • Ethernet support.
  • No duplex scanning.

Still, you can print on both sides of the paper (duplex). A telephone plug is also available for faxing, and there is built-in Wi-Fi with compatibility for direct output from Apple and Android apps as well as from Epson’s own app and cloud service.

For a cheap inkjet printer, our black text paper printed at 19.2 pages per minute (PPM), but the color graphics caused the speed to drop to 5.6 ppm. Printing high-quality images took more than three minutes per 6×4 inch.

The scanner crept through a 1200 dpi scan in 2.5 minutes while taking 28 seconds to capture an A4 page at a sharp 600 dpi. The WF-3620D WF was significantly faster, but you won’t need that resolution very often, and it’s a problem we’ve experienced with other MFPs. In our tests, the 3720’s print and scan quality were passable, with minor advancements over its predecessor, keeping in mind that this isn’t a high-end photo printer.

The 3620DWF was once offered for sale (and is still available) for one hundred pounds. Although the 3720 has an official, dealers, as usual, are downplaying this. Some Amazon Marketplace sellers were listing it as we went to press. The drawback is that the 3720 uses a different kind of cartridge, and color pages cost more than 9p even when using XL inks, which is more expensive than the 3620 and average.

Product Comparison

With the WorkForce Pro WF-3720 all-in-one printer, you can increase productivity in your home or small office. The WF-3720 delivers Performance Beyond Laser and print shop-quality prints with laser-sharp text thanks to cutting-edge PrecisionCore technology.

The WF-3720 prints documents in black and color swiftly and with high-quality results. Additionally, it is cost-effective, delivering up to 30% reduced printing expenses than color laser printers (1).

You won’t need to replace paper frequently thanks to its capacity of 250 sheets. It has practical features, including an automatic 2-sided printer, a 35-page auto document feeder, and a 2.7″ color touchscreen. The WF-3720 is a genuine game-changing printer that combines strong performance with a compact design.

The only drawbacks to HP’s PageWide Pro 477dw are that it can’t automatically scan, copy, or fax both sides of an original document and that its running expenses could be cheaper. If we had to pick just one small office printer, it would be this one. If your budget allows, you can pick from a number of printers with significantly lower operating costs.

We looked at Epson’s Workforce Pro WF-C5790DWF, which HP’s outstanding PageWide Pro 477dw barely edged out. Both are nearly as quick and good as rival lasers, and at less than 5p per page, they are significantly less expensive to operate. Refillable ink tank printers like the Canon Pixma G4510 and Epson EcoTank ET-4750 leave us less than impressed.

Both printers have enough ink to print thousands of pages, and since their ongoing operating costs are less than a penny per page, they are likely to be more cost-effective throughout a few thousand pages. Unfortunately, they fall short of printers: their speed is nowhere near that of the WF-C5790DWF or PageWide Pro 477dw, and they are barely competitive with less expensive models like the WF-3720DWF.

Final Summary

For a home office or limited space, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 works fine. Both black-and-white and color printing are relatively inexpensive and quick. However, because of its low page yield, the standard black cartridge might need to be replaced frequently.

Fortunately, a black cartridge with a higher yield is available; it ought to last longer. The sheetfed scanner’s Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) helps process numerous sheets quickly, but regrettably, it cannot scan a two-sided document on both sides. The printer’s excellent connectivity choices, which include Ethernet for a dependable connection to your router, are a plus.
