It’s hard to buy something that meets all of your needs, like the best subwoofer. The PRORECK PR18 is a great subwoofer that makes the bass sound clear and strong in any setting. The power rating is 2000 watts, which is a lot for such a small subwoofer. The DJ subwoofer can be used at parties, but it can also be a great addition to your home theater.

Because the housing is made of plywood, the subwoofer is distortion-free and has less vibration and resonance. The powered subwoofer has a Class D amplifier built right in. The PR18 is small, which makes it easier to move around.

The Sound Town Metis 12SPW has a peak power of 1400 watts, enough to make clean, tight bass in almost any setting. To facilitate installation, the subwoofer comes with a variety of connections.

  • Powerful 2000-Watt Powered Subwoofer
  • RCA Input
  • Selectable Phase From 0° To 180°

I’m happy to tell you about the PRORECK 2000W DJ Subwoofer because it has 2000 W of strong power and very clear sounds. The 18-inch woofer is the best speaker for DJs who play at events like parties, meetings, churches, clubs, conferences, theatres, and more because it has a low-frequency driver that boosts the bass.

Even more beautiful is the balanced XLR pair. Because the right and left audio channels are perfectly in sync, you will never lose channel information accidentally or on purpose. The XLR combo can also handle 100 Hz and 20 kHz signals and has a full range and filter.

Recently, a DJ told me what he knew about this subwoofer at the other end of the range. Even though he said it was safe to use at home, he said he wouldn’t bring it to gigs. He said the calibre wasn’t good enough for him to use on a paid job. I asked him about the sound quality because this wasn’t clear. He concluded that the sound quality wasn’t great and that there were better subwoofers for performances.

  • Construction that is strong but not too heavy
  • The quality of the sound is only average.

My Testing Process

I thought I might as well add it to my system and see what happens when I play a 6-string electric. I didn’t know that a guitar could make such beautiful low tones. The sounds are like a big sonic hug that wraps around you. So nice you could give that a try. It’s big and heavy, so it’s a waste of space in my living room, but I don’t care. I like this.

I wish there were more ways to connect it to speakers and other devices. There are XLR and RCA inputs and outputs, but I couldn’t get the RCA outputs to work when I was using the XLR inputs. So I had to think of creative ways to get my signal to the rest of the system. You might need to get something like adapters. It’s not a big deal.

Product Comparison

The PRORECK PR18 has strong construction and less weight. The Sound Town Metis 12SPW subwoofer is small and compact for how much power it has, and it is made of very strong materials. The cabinet is made of plywood and can handle much power while cutting down on vibrations and resonance.

The 12SPW’s larger voice coil gives the subwoofer more control over the cone. This gives the bass sounds more control as well. PRORECK PR18 Powerful 2000-Watt powered subwoofer with 18” low-frequency driver for bass reinforcement that is why it is suggested.

Final Words

The PRORECK PR18 runs like a fluid. Before it peaks, it shakes the house and sends vibrations to your feet through the floor. Also, you can feel the sound on your skin. When you turn it off, it seems like “Since I’ve Been Loving You” by Led Zeppelin is missing half of its bass line, as if I hadn’t heard it before.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PRORECK a good brand?

The PRORECK system has insanely good sound quality. At very low frequencies, the bass gets a little muddy, but the mids and highs are clear, and overall, it sounds great.

How many subwoofers do I need for DJ?

Dance, EDM, house/techno, and hip-hop are more bass-heavy styles that would benefit from a subwoofer’s low end. Sometimes, you may even want two subwoofers in addition to the two loudspeakers. If people want to “feel” the bass and hear it, you’ll need subs.

Do DJs need a subwoofer?

A sub-main woofer’s job is to work with your loudspeaker. You might not need a sub-woofer if you don’t want to make the lower frequencies that a sub-woofer would make louder. A loudspeaker handles the lower frequencies (bass) for voice audio and low-level amplification.
