This framework aims to link the practical measures businesses may take to systematically address responsible use issues with the underlying ideas of ethical thinking and global human rights norms.

Regarding the responsible use of disruptive technologies, there has recently been discussion about the relative benefits of ethics-based and human rights-based approaches. This is a false choice, in our opinion. In the study, we first argue that both strategies will be advantageous for the responsible use of disruptive technology.

To use technology responsibly, ethics and human rights approaches should not be seen as competing but as complementary strategies: A human rights-based perspective offers a universal framework on which different ethical frameworks, decisions, and assessments can be made.

1.     Set boundaries for device use and demand that family time is respected:

2.     Prevent your children from going to sleep on electronic devices:

Sleep is the only meaning of bedtime. Everyone, especially small children, needs to sleep. You run the danger of having it turned on as soon as you turn around and leave the room if you let them go to bed with a device tucked under their arms.

Your child won’t get enough sleep, which will ultimately have an impact on their attitude, their performance, and their personal growth.

3.     Encourage cultural, sports or other outdoor activities:

Socializing involves interacting with others. While it is true that modern communication technologies bring up new avenues for this socializing, face-to-face human interaction cannot be replaced by digital interaction.

Do not presume that because you believe your children are highly sophisticated, they are aware of how to use technology responsibly. Be careful to offer instructions on how to use new technical instruments and their advantages, restrictions, and dangers.

5.     Lead by example:

You’ve surely heard it a million times, but kids, especially young ones, are like sponges. So how do you anticipate that your kids will behave if you lose your phone, tablet, or computer?
