Let’s investigate Will there be entertainment in heaven? A Christian’s life should be altered by everything about Heaven. Believers will not spend all of eternity in some odd spiritual realm where we will fly around on clouds, have wings, and sing melodies all day long.

Instead, Heaven is the current cosmos, and earth transformed again into an Edenic paradise. I have covered our resurrection bodies, the environment of the New Earth (and Outer Space!), and the culture of our future home in the previous three sections of this series.

The topic of our daily lives will be covered in this last essay. In part 3, I discussed how there would be work to be done.

Today, I want to talk about other parts of our everyday lives, such as how we can have fun in Heaven with technology or without it or anything else while if we can’t sin if we will be able to eat and drink, and what will happen to things like marriage, sleep, entertainment, music, and sports. Which of these will be able to call the New Earth home?

Will there be entertainment in Heaven?

God does not promise amusement specifically, but He does promise joy, and since there would be pleasure, peace, and no sin in paradise, we can be sure that amusement would probably not even enter your mind. I want to be clear that the Bible does say that we will enter Heaven and worship God there for all of eternity. Can you even begin to fathom the delight we shall feel? So much so that our worship of God will be complete and respected. I am really excited!

Will we be able to sin in Heaven?

 It’s the straightforward subject I’d want to tackle first? Naturally, the response is no. According to Romans 6:23, the wages of sin is death. However, upon Christ’s second coming, death will no longer exist in the world (Revelation 21:4). Christ died once to address sin and death (Hebrews 9:26-28; 10:10; 1 Peter 3:18).

I bring up this topic because some people might wonder how we can have free will if we cannot sin. Some may even conclude that Heaven won’t be fun if we cannot sin. First of all, the Bible clarifies that we are slaves to sin while we are under the Curse. We won’t be fully free like we have never been before until Christ’s second coming.

It is quite challenging to comprehend how someone may be free and never sin, especially for Americans. Doesn’t freedom require us to choose between right and wrong to exist?

However, the Bible makes it quite clear that Christians will be righteous in paradise (1 Corinthians 5:21) and that we will be raised “incorruptible” (1 Corinthians 15:52). We shall become so holy that we will never desire to sin, and the Holy Spirit will give us the willpower to never make a bad decision. The New Earth won’t have any temptations.

The notion that Heaven won’t be enjoyable without sin is heresy (or very close to it). In essence, this theory contends that fun cannot exist in life without the use of drugs, alcohol, extramarital sex, or a variety of other substances.

God is boring; Satan is fun: this way of thinking demonstrates how distorted and evil culture has evolved. However, fun was invented by God. He is the one who made the universe, creatures, flora, fauna, and all other natural features. He did all the things we enjoyed. Both humans and Satan did not invent fun.

Satan tempts us, the sinners, to distort God’s original plan. Sin is not necessary for enjoyment. As writer Randy Alcorn succinctly puts it:

“The devil’s trick duped us. His most fundamental tactic, the same one he used with Adam and Eve, is to convince us that transgression results in fulfilment. Sin robs us of happiness, though. Sin makes life boring rather than interesting.

Sin blunts adventure rather than fostering it. Life is not enlarged by sin; it is contracted. Boredom is an inevitable result of sin’s emptiness. Boredom is impossible when there is satisfaction and beauty and when we recognize God for the inexhaustible source of curiosity that he is.

Those with sin-poisoned minds think that enthusiasm cannot exist without sin. Drug users are convinced they cannot lead fulfilling lives without narcotics. They are miserable because of the medicines, as everyone else can see.

Will there be eating and drinking?

Most Christians rarely consider whether or not we will be able to eat and drink on the New Earth when they are contemplating Heaven. Most people believe there would be no use. Why would we need to eat if we have perfect bodies? Additionally, there are a few verses that seem to indicate that eating will not be permitted in the Kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God, according to Romans 14:17, is not about food and drink but justice, harmony, and joy in the Holy Spirit. However, Heaven is not the subject of this verse. The passage’s context deals with how Christians shouldn’t cause others to trip over what we consume in this world.

Another verse reads, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, but God will kill them both” (1 Corinthians 6:13). Another scripture that talks about a Christian’s freedom and how not to abuse it is this one. It is in the broader context of unethical sexual behaviour. The possibility that it alludes to the New Earth does not appear very realistic (especially regarding the following points that I am about to make).

Will we wear clothes in Heaven?

Christians can assume that since God made Adam and Eve naked, we will also be naked in Heaven. But unlike us, Adam and Eve were innocent and not holy (1 Corinthians 5:21). Additionally, remember that before sinning, Adam and Eve were not even aware of their nakedness (Genesis 3:7).

In Heaven, we will still remember things. Therefore we will know whether or not we are nude. However, as I have stated numerous times, human civilization will continue in Heaven, and Jesus likely wore clothing after his resurrection (or was he running about in his birthday suit?)

Now, comes to the conclusion will there be entertainment in heaven? God will accept responsibility for all the troubles experienced in this life. In essence, we will be given a second chance to live the lives we always desired and were intended to have—lives full of love and contentment with God.

Perfectly putting it, the Apostle Paul says, “In this way, they will lay up riches for themselves as a stable foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life which is truly life” (1 Timothy 6:19).
